Reborn Animal Refuge is seeking dedicated volunteers who don't mind getting a little dirt, or a lot dirty. If you have a love for animals, hard work, are dedicated, and GOAT what it takes, read on....We need YOU to help us continue our mission in building our refuge and depend on reliable volunteers.
The work is physical and may include the following: Animal care such as: rescuing, handling, feeding, grooming, transporting, scooping poop/urine, walking animals, haltering, rehabilitating. Working with large and small equipment, tools; various types of work: digging, shoveling, building, cutting, transporting, driving, sweeping, painting, watering, lifting heavy amounts, etc. Transporting material at times with your own vehicle and insurance. Fundraising, grant writing, digital media, donor retention, marketing.
Attire: The weather in Strasburg tends to fluctuate. It can be very hot with little shade coverage, very windy, cold and snowy, muddy, and other days it's perfect. We like the perfect days! We suggest keeping an eye on the weather before your shift and wearing layers or bringing a variety of clothing to switch out as needed. As stated above, volunteers are required to wear a Reborn shirt/sweatshirt for easy identification (those will be coming). For your remaining attire, we strongly suggest jeans (leggings or sweats are fine, but are not as protective), work boots (snow or mud boots for winter), hat, multiple gloves for different types of work, sunglasses, and sunscreen. You should also bring plenty of water and snacks/lunch.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer.
- Make an initial donation to Reborn of $40.00+, towards your volunteer shirt.
- Attend a volunteer group orientation onsite at Reborn on a specific date.
- Sign the liability waiver.
- Commit to at least 10 hours a month by working two, 5-hour shifts.
- Shifts start at 9am and end at 2pm, or full day. Summer and Winter hours may change.
- We need long term volunteers who are dedicated and reliable. *If we have not heard from you or seen you in a while, you will be asked to reapply to volunteer. *If you are unable to maintain the 10 hours a month commitment, we will end your volunteer time with Reborn.
- For safety reasons - new volunteers will start with livestock and work your way up to Wolf hybrid adult animals. Training will be on-going. You will not be hands on with adult Wolf hybrids until you have been trained and reached the proper volunteer level.
- Knowledge and experience with any of these animals is helpful, but not required as we will teach you what you need to know.
