Reborn started in early 2017 with a small passionate team that came together after working and volunteering at the largest wildlife sanctuary in the country. We saw first hand how serious the wild animal trade is and their exploitation, and know there are still thousands of animals living in horrible situations across the world that still need a loving, life-long home. We saw the importance of creating another refuge to give them just that.

Armando holds a Masters of Science in Humane Education and a graduate certificate in Non Profit management. He has always been passionate about all Animals. The past few years Armando has worked closely with wild Animals as an Animal keeper at the largest carnivore sanctuary in the country, gaining invaluable experience providing care for more than 475 Tigers, Bears, Lions and other carnivores. During that time he acquired, not only the skills needed for animal care, but all operational aspects of running a successful animal sanctuary. Armando and his lovely fiancé Brittany enjoy life with their two Cats Tippy and Muffy, aka the rulers of the house.

Brett Kenschaft

Brett Kenschaft

Brett grew up in a military family, moving around often, including a 3 year stay in Germany. He always had dogs & cats in the house and has been an animal person all his life, with a special interest and love for the big cats. He first became aware of the captive wildlife crisis when his youngest sister started working at an exotic cat sanctuary in Texas. He then started volunteering at a large sanctuary in Colorado, keeping it a family tradition! Brett helped care for many different species, including lions, tigers, bears, and wolves. He eventually got hired as the nutrition center manager, working there a number of years. He then went back to Texas to work at the cat sanctuary his mother and sisters are involved with, but has now returned to Colorado to put his experience & passion for wildlife into helping make Reborn Animal Refuge a wonderful home for animals in need.
"Like us, animals feel love, joy, fear and pain, but they cannot grasp the spoken word. It is our obligation to speak on their behalf, ensuring their well-being and lives are respected and protected."
- Sylvia Dolson
